Have you thought about gettin rid of your smartphone ?
« on: December 25, 2013, 04:46:26 AM »
I like my smartphone because I can look up directions, information and post on getbig anywhere, but I also kind of dont like it. I hate seeing people sit down to dinner with peoe and pull out their phones.  :-\
Just seems like it takes up to much time that could be better spent.

I'm seriously thinking of giving it up and going back to just a cell phone.  People got by just fine before them. Has anyone else felt the same?

Yes. I do use it a lot, perhaps too much according to some. My excuse is that I not only check GB, I also read all my books on it. To me, that seems like a valid reason to stare at a screen for hours on end. Yes, grasping at straws...

But indeed I did consider going back to my trusty 3310. And then I got a phone from work, and the whole circus continued as before. :(

Strange but true, I have the same. I love gadgets (2 PCs, 2 laptops, 1 tablet, 2 phones, just for me) but sometimes I wish I wouldn't have or want any of those, or rather: to be in a situation where I wouldn't desire them.

Unfortunately at work there's no getting around them, and after work I do more work on them anyway. The latter is a choice, I realize that. Still saving up for that log cabin in the middle of Nowhere City, population: me.

Ditto. Told the wife when kids are grown and she croaks I will be the old hermit on the lake that all the kids create urban legends about.  ;D

I was away for a couple of days and left my smartphone at home. Felt liberating not checking the fucking thing every five minutes.

How do u keep your whores in line? It's much easier to juggle multiple women using texts. Once u allow them to actually call, u are done.
when i go into a club it's all or nothing

i either fuck her that night or cut my losses

no follow up shit
