2. A lot of homosexual couples are raising the child(ren) that one of them had with a former partner or a woman who volunteered to carry.

The latter is quite widespread for African homosexuals. I don't know of one African homosexual who could even imagine spending his life without having children.

Yes I do.

A family member of mine passed away quite some time ago and there were two children in the middle. My partner and I adopted both children and the other biological parent is still very much involved (Visits when capable and communicates as well), but since then has not been able to truly recover or gather the necessary tools to presently serve as a capable parent for the children.

Reminds me of my long time best friend who is gay and who adopted the son of his no good younger brother who abandoned the child. He raised the boy as a single parent (which is even more difficult) and that went incredibly well. He's happy, the child is happy. He's seeing the boy as his son, the boy considers him as his dad. What do you want more?
