New years eve. Midnight. Location: The Sailor's hat.
It was like a scene from Dante's Inferno. Hundreds of half naked men grinding on each other in a drug and alcohol induced sex frenzy. Flashing lights and loud techno blaring at a nearly unbearable volume. The smell of cheap cologne, cigar smoke and sweat mingled in with the smell of shit coming from the unflushed toilets of the bathrooms. Sometimes a 'straight' interloper would wander in and try to flush one of the piss and diarrhea filled commodes, but he would usually be scared off by some coked up drag queen 'fishing' in one of the stalls. The locals liked the smell. Eau de gay bar.
I 'slid' through the sea of glitter and latex covered flesh. I thought it was just another night at the circus, until I saw her. She was sitting at the bar with her legs crossed. She was wearing a leopard spotted mini dress and red open toe high heels. Stunning. My heart skipped. I sauntered nervously up to her, almost bumping into a man in an all leather gimp suit. She waves at me. I wave back. She was waving at someone behind me. Jesus that's embarrassing. She notices me and smiles. "Hi", I yell. "Hey", she yells back.
"You wanna drink", I yell. She explains she's already had enough. I say she's stunning. She's flattered. I compliment her on her physique. She says she works out everyday. I asked how much she benched. 505. I'm turned on completely. We talk for another half and hour. I ask if she wants to get out of here. "Sure", she whispers in my ear.
"One last thing", I said. "What is your name?".
"Branch. Branch Warren".
We make our way out onto the rain covered streets and into to my car. The night was young and hot.
