Walking Dead
« on: March 05, 2015, 05:44:39 AM »
Just getting caught up on the second half of the last season.  Gay guys, Rick shaving, Alexandria...

The part of Daryl doing his "audition" while carrying the dead possum was hilarious.  I watched three episodes to the part where Rick is the constable in the community now.  I give it a week before his gang tears shit up all over the neighborhood.  (They mix and match from the graphic novels so much you can't really tell how much of the future from the novels will be included)

BBing related : one zombie was wearing Zubaz and Michonne (sp?) must be off the sauce because she is becoming much too emotional.

I like how they are turning Rick and his crew in to the bad guys, that line about taking the place if they have to was great

I was actually thinking if they stay in this town too long it's going to get boring, until Rick at the end... It's like they've been through so much now they're starting to become the bad guys.  I'm glad though because Rick was being a huge pussy for a long time until he ripped that guys throat out with his teeth, then the Alpha kicked in

True, but the line from the episode before where Rick states "We are the walking dead" was mangled and ruined beyond repair.  In the graphic novels, that line was the culmination of everything up to that point and where the story title originated and was first spoken.  It was the first time Rick had acknowledged that their prospects of survival were looking bleak.

But that girl that doesn't talk is creepy as hell.  Someone that young just showed up eight months before... she is obviously very much at home in the woods as she easily evaded Carl and disappeared without a trace.  Without saying too much I have an idea what her role is in the show.  She wasn't in the books, but sometimes they do/add things and elements that actually enhance the story.

You can tell Rick is pissed because someone knew he stashed that handgun in the blender in the woods and took it.  He knows they are being watched more closely than he first suspected.

Yeah that was pretty cool. It's a fictional show about an impossibility but there are some gems to be found. That was one of them. extreme conditions and survival instincts tends to reduce us to our base level and here we have a group of people who for all intents and purposes are decent. As time progresses and they develop their survival skills and instincts, the thought of forcibly taking over a place they were invited into was spot on.

I don't know.  Rick has shown to be very uncaring in the past.  Remember a couple seasons ago when they were driving somewhere and passed the lone survivor on the road running from the walkers with that big back pack on his back?  He begged them to stop and help and he just drove on by.  On the return trip when he was coming back, he saw the man had been killed and was laying in the road, he just casually pulled over and took his back pack off and then kept going.

He warned her in his audition/interview that people would just take from them and she should have kept her gates closed.
