basically means you can be attractive even if you have a huge scnoozer as long as you have big lips and a short jaw  ::)

The weak chin is also related to a tongue thrust that pushes the teeth forward and creates the appearance of a weaker chin.


There are a few variables... chin size, lip size, teeth forward...this one size fits all approach by way of an imaginary line is a gimmick. How would that explain the actress and model on the bottom of the first page?

Exactly, and she even has her mouth open which throws her chin back. If her mouth were closed her mouth would miss by a larger gap.  .

You have to take everything into account. Think of it like bodybuilding. If weighing more than the other competitors was the only thing, then Nasser and Dillett would all have Sandows. But, you have to take weight, shape, symmetry, and conditioning, and presentation. It's like that with this---this is only about lower facial symmetry and side profile, not about the whole face. There are other things to consider.

That is why I asked a question in the first place. There is no finger test to determine what is aesthetically attractive. Dr. Ricketts was an Orthodontist, so my guess is that he was dealing with how the side profile and frontal profile would look before and after braces, operations, etc.

What guy would want their mouth hitting the line? There should be a definite gap if your male.

Beautiful women may have fuller lips but their mouths usually miss the line as well.
