I'm running a lot lately. I just feel fantastic after coming back from a good run. After lifting I just feel tired. Something about biking, swimming or running that makes it a super anti depressant.

I found that it's really hard to lift heavy when you're doing a lot of cardio. Also split routines are usually a mistake for me when I run a lot. It always seems I am putting off a part of the split because of exhaustion. I find I can keep muscular doing a whole body routine twice a week.  That leaves 5 days for running and other exercise outside of bodybuilding. I feel really healthy and full of energy.

I do something like this twice a week. I will do 6 weight workouts in three weeks. I will predict what my goal is on the 6th workout and back off 5 to 10lbs per exercise for each of the 6 workouts. Every workout is an increase in weight. In the beginning an exercise could be easy but doing the reps strict it's still beneficial. After 6 workouts I change the exercises completely.

Power clean and jerk 3 x 3

squats 2 x 8
Lunges 1 x 8
standing leg curl 2 x 10

Dumbbell flat bench 2 x 8

chins 2 x max
close grip cable row 2 x 12

military press 2 x 8
dumbbell lateral raise 2 x 10

weighted dips 2 x 10
barbell curls    2 x 10

Hanging leg raises 2 x max
machine crunches 2 x 20

standing calf raise 2 x 15

weighted back extensions 2 x 15

gripper work 2 x max
neck work 1 set per side

I tricked out my son's 10/22 with a decent scope and a suppressor, so he likes to shoot water filled soda cans in the backyard.

500 or 600m is a great shot with a medium round like a .308. Even at 1MOA (which is about the best I am gong to get) we are still talking about 6". I miss a lot of cans with that accuracy.

back then not many guys shot .308, most everybody had .30-06. would've loved to had a .338 back then.

didn't have the mechanical/engineering experience back then to machine up a suppressor that wouldn't completely fuck the accuracy.lol.. luckily didn't need one shooting out in the country. I could fill up coffee-cans with gunpowder and bury them with a backhoe 3ft deep with a 30ft fuse and blow them all day without anybody noticing. (and we did. lol)... but hell, if I'd shoot a cow in the ass with a pellet gun I'd hear about it within an hour. lol

I came off for about 6 months, from September to March, and just ate whatever in reasonable quantities and stuck to cardio/stretching mostly.  Lifted 2-3x a week, just some bullshit.

Yeah I got soft, but my weight went down and I looked the same in clothes... Just needed a mental break.

Now after being on again, I feel like a new man.... going to the gym is exciting again, and my motivation to diet is high again.  I feel like I did the first time i started juice, eager to see where my body will end up.

Once being on the juice becomes the "new normal", It's a good idea to take some time off imo
