Dude's never been the sharpest knife in the draw.

His "nothin but a peanut" catchphrase was probably a reference to his brain size.
It's "drawer", you just defeated your statement.

As far as Ronnie is concerned. He knows nothing else. What is odd is how many of his contemporaries outside of Nasser, all look better than he does.

He also has no real "family" to ground him like Haney did. All that has defined him is his muscles and his heavy lifting. What made Ronnie will not just break him, but will destroy him as well.

Typing on a phone ain't easy. You know what I meant though.
I don't think having a strong family would have made a difference. The guy is probably too stubborn to listen to advice I'm sure he's already been told.

I figured that...  ;)

A strong family that grounded him---kids, wife have shown him that there is more to life than just working out. He has literally nothing else---that's all he knows, other than being a police officer. And possibly that it what make him happy, because he knows of nothing else really. His identity is wrapped up in it. A wife and kids would have given him an oppotunity to not focus solely on himself. Chances are, how he grew up---not having a father in his life, and half brothers, he emulated the family life that he knew, in which he was absolved of certain "responsibilities" and he went on about his business.

I'm not aware of anyone whose withstood a higher pain level than Tom Platz.  This dude would squat until he passed out cold (on several occasions).  Coleman would be dead if he pushed the envelope as far as Platz did in the early 1980's.

Not being racist but Ronnie walks like a gorilla trying to walk on two legs. Seriously...he is walking like an animal not used to being bipedal. Its not even like Bigfoot because if you check the 1967 Patterson-Gimlin film the creature (Patty) has no problem walking on two legs. If you look at Ronnie Coleman he looks as though he is in pain and is having a hard time walking almost to the point that it is unnatural for him to be doing so.

800+ squat, 800+ deadlift, 545-85(?) front squat, 200 pound dumbbell flat bench press and incline press for multiple reps. And more, all while working a day job as an officer and working out in 100+ heat and high humity. And all this while dieting for the Mr. O (which Platz never won), so who knows what he would have done during the off season.

Most 50 year olds I know enjoy powerlifting with at least 500 or 600 pounds.

Yes we do.  ;)

Really, would you disagree? He looks like he is in severe pain and uncomfortable walking. I know about the hip replacement but I've seen many people who have had that operation and they walk fine afterwards.  I love Ronnie and thought he looked better than Dorian but he really shouldn't be doing these types of weights.

Ronnie looks better in that video than I have seen for a long time.
The Heavy Weights is all relative to what is heavy for each of us.
Saying that in the video He is Doing a lot of half reps, heaving &
Jerking.
Probably safe to say the weights are too heavy for him.
Would like to see him training far more Sensible in terms of his
Form.
Good wishes to him he's doing what he enjoys & hurting
no one other than Himself.

Cmon, he has to live up to his quote: "Everybody wants to get big, but no one wants to lift heavy ass weight" ;D. Not only that, he was known as one of the strongest bodybuilder. He can't back down, that's admirable. Imagine if you were in his shoes, being known as a strong, genetic freak. I knew strong guys who were similar like that. Although they knew they destroy their body, joints aching, but still continue lift heavy.
