Anybody noticed? Some fights are mediocre. Most fights are average. Steroid use is rampant and tolerated. Ground game is becoming a thing of the past, or so it seems with some of the fights. Et cetera.

Dana White and his two goombahs are utterly destroying the sport.

There wouldn't be a sport without the UFC. Love them or hate them, they have legitimized the sport.

Nah, if the Yakuza-debacle wasn't out in the open, we'd still have PFC.

With or without UFC.

Sure, but it would be a fringe sport and it wouldn't attract the same level of talent. Even the UFC was pretty weak talent-wise up until a few years ago, especially the heavyweight division. The UFC has grown the sport more than anyone else. Why hate on them?

Pride had much higher level of talent than UFC before the Yakuza-incident.

Yes, I know, but American audiences weren't watching. For the athletes to make more money a wider PPV audience was needed. The UFC gave MMA the most public exposure it's had and made millions of new fans in the US.

This is what happens when you corner the market. When you own the pie.

It's up to ufc/zuffa now to get creative because like I said years ago they are using wwe business model, and just like wwe business it gets old and you have to really be creative b/c your product will saturate itself FAST because a) there is no variety and b) it becomes repetitive by nature. c) people get bored

We live in a world now where if you claim to be the king and money is spent on your product you better Damn well put on a show every single time period.

The pride Guys are old now, the new blood is spoiled b/c ufc grabs them early now to save the brand. There is a reason guys like Anderson Silva dominated for years. The struggle to get there via the smaller markets (ufc bought out) to get them there. Guys don't struggle now...They are in tuf on tv with 7 wins...Smh.

Time to activate grand prix title imo and have gp champ per weight class vs division champ for that weight fight during New year's top dog match. The fans would love this imo.

Microsoft didn't bury Apple when they could have...instead they invested in them, kept them afloat and the public is happy with variety

I think MMA is like bodybuilding.... It is past it's prime.
