You must remember to bond the grounds to the house’s copper water lines. You certainly wouldn’t want a short circuit to travel through the water pipes while you’re in the shower, bathtub, or using a sink. Remember that water and electricity don’t mix!
but copper is conductive to electricity! that would meat that youd get shocked in storm drinking from a copper line

I'm so lost.  People ground plumbing?  Wtf is 'ground' anyway?  Like the ground you stand on?  The dirt? Electricity just flows into there?  Why would it do that?

Contact a professional and pay him. You can be sued if something happens. And since you are not a licensed electrician, you can possibly be criminally charged with doing business (contracting/electrician) without a license.

drive a long copper rod into the earth and attach the ground to it with a couple of clamps. if its a slab basement just drill a hole for the rod to pass through.

First, lay your garden hose down on the ground and turn on the water. Wait until there is a nice size puddle forming before you touch ANYTHING. Standing in the puddle barefoot will help a tiny bit over using sneakers.

Next make sure to wet your hands really good as well... Moisture helps a lot with conductivity. Also, don't test anything with a volt meter... You will be fine. I'm sure everything there is wired properly. No need to question it.

Then all you do is twist all the ends together, especially all the black ones. And don't forget to touch each one to your tongue before you twist them.

Then... and this is important.

Call a fucking electrician you numbskull, and don't do any of the shit I said above. Before you fucking kill yourself in a drunken stupor. I can see it now.. Drunk pisses himself while fooling with shoddy wiring and the puddle kills him.  Great story in the local paper.

i will ask them, but home depot guys i have found to be wrong or not in the know a few times

Call a licensed electrician and pick his brain a little. Don't ask some kid at home depot he could get you killed.

this thread is proof that when a average getbigger is in trouble they give up flag and fail. not only are you guys quitters you are also very short sighted all u guys can do is talk about protien , calories and reps, its time to expand skills

yes it is my house i live in it i wont die because i feel like i grounded the wire correctly ill post pics soon and with more questions i have. i connected a copper wire to the grounding wire, i beleive the grounding wire is a sheathed in steel with copper inside.

the old man at home depot recommended i sand the copper wire some on both ends to help it contact . i used a bracket on the wire to the grounding wire and a bracket to the tub drain

i dont understand why you guys stop learning after you fail at bodybuilding, its no reason to stop learning, in bodybuilding there isnt that much to learn, you experiment with the food you are given (tirelessly i add) then you experiment with reps, sets and days off ect (tirelessly) . eventually you come to an educated conclusion or you fall into delusion thinking you can still "gayn" muscle with some crazy meticulous workout plan of peice

however other areas of life like electricity are waiting to be decipherd by the ever knuckle dragging bodybuilder , who isnt a quitter, but is slightly delusional always thinking he can persevere (wich isnt always a bad trait requires lots of energy). but in this age a bodybuilder can relate knowledges of electricity into his routine at somepoint. what do i mean? who the fuck knows but im sure we will find a way electricity can benefit us or open more doors into what we actually are by understanding the waves , aplitudes, resonances ect

the wire that is hanging that is cut and metal looking needs to be longer, what extention could i put on it to connect to the metal tub drain (please include pictor and product name) i need superior white man style directions that are easy to follow

this job will build strenth up to near a black persons level if done repeatedly, please this will help all manual labor hopeful honkeys to become superior afro americans!

You need to run a new ground from there to the central ground rod.

Is there a grounding rod near your service box?

You haven't answered my question from the other thread.
This is important.  If there is no grounding rod near the service panel (Fuse or breaker box), you need to put one in.

Here are a couple of pictures.

this is what i did

i attached the copper wire to the grounding wire and the tub drain , it seems you can see a little bit of corrosion on the old ground line (blends in with wood on upper left) probably from a water leak but who knows
i shut all power off just incase because as i looked further back on the line the grounding wire was making some contact with another wire i couldve been shocked if i touched it maybe? this seems to be an error in someones installation of a ground line correct me if im wrong?

shouldnt these two lines not be touching ? seems i will have to track down someone from the early 1900's who let these wires touch doesnt seem fair. Or am i wrong and its quite alright that they are touching and i should thank the man who installed this?

the ground line runs all the way back to a box i beleive

so are you saying i should look back at where the box is and see if there is a line and a rod driven into the ground? thanks alot bro

i hear that thel lack of ground moisture could be too resistant so a grounding rod might not work. we want the electricity to flow to the path of least resistance

Yes, and all the grounds should connect to it.
