Apostrophes for the possessive, not plural.

The majority of American millionaires (people with a net worth of at least million) never earned a six-figure salary.  I had a really old lady friend who worked as a school teacher.  Never made more than about $60k a year.  She was worth over $10M.  Invested in real estate in the 60s and 70s.

Here you go. I compliment you on getting this one thing right. A very large majority of millionaires are in fact 'self-made'. Ambition is a mighty tool.

If you're going to compliment someone, try not to give them a backhanded compliment.

You are correct.  The majority of American millionaires did not inherit their wealth.

Agreed, but that's the title of the video.

Loco, may I ask where you got those stats from?

I believe them to be grossly inaccurate. I happen to know there are more millionaires in India, than the entire population of Canada (circa 2010) At roughly 30 million give or take.. You'd be looking at 16 million for the USA and the rest of the world combined? That can't be right.

How was that backhanded? I thought my compliment was very straight forward and clearly just a compliment. Oh, I guess a compliment isn't a compliment to you unless I compliment all your posts. Well then, I take the compliment back.  ;)

True story - I was going to post the same thing as Dos, as I read it as a back hand compliment as well.

I compliment you on getting this one thing right.

It reads as if you're implying everything else he posts is wrong.

You may not have meant it that way, but it can be interpreted that way.

Seriously?  You said "I compliment you on getting this one thing right."  In other words, I'm always wrong, but got this one right.  Textbook backhanded compliment.

I'm not asking you to compliment me.  I don't need compliments from an internet stranger.  Just trying to teach an old dog new tricks.   :)

Correct.  Didn't see your post before I responded.   :)
