Its funny cause alot of the "big" guys take 5 minutes in between sets anyways...so what else are they gonna do but talk in between?

If you really don't wanna talk though, just wear a hoodie or hat, have your earpieces in and don't look at anybody.  Its easy to put off a "Im in the zone" vibe without putting it on a shirt like a jerk.

Not a fan of commercial gyms these days. I used to go to "Mikes Gym" in Lawrence MA when I was 16, place was hard core til it burned down. Since then, nothing compares.
another good gym was "Iron Works" in Lawrence MA, it closed after a few years, that place was hard core... These days, Planet Fitness is a hard core gym it seems...

I went to Mike's, too. Great place.  Not many of the good one-off weightlifting/bodybuilding gyms left.

Who was the owner? I go to an Iron Works down here in NE Florida. Owner is Jim Hoskinson. He owns two gyms in the area. He is serious stuff. Google his name. His gyms are no joke, old school style. No fluff. Serious equipment.

I used to go to the Golds in Methuen in the 80's. It was still fun then. And then there was a great hardcore gym that opened directly across the street from my house when I lived in Watertown in 96-97.

In my younger days, I didn't appreciate good gyms as much as I appreciated the quality and/or quantity of female ass in a particular location. That led me to some complete shit gyms.
