Anyone seen the Equalizer with Denzel

It was promising at first and first half was good. Then it derailed pretty hard and became self parodic IMO.

Denzel is starting to looking older now being in action movies, but still can handle a leading role with ease.

Never heard about the director, felt like it was his first feature film after doing music videos or something.

BB related because Denzel was buff in that submarine movie once.

Used to watch the 80's show.

The trailer for this looked like every other movie I've ever seen. Unassuming guy has incredible special op skills, is brought out of retirement or hiding to avenge an innocent, insert gratuitous kicking-ass-in-style footage, lather, rinse, repeat. Yawn.

Still, Denzel has the chops to carry a flick like this. I'll wait for it on Netflix.

could tell it was horrid from hearing his interviews.

When an actor talks about how he will never look at home depo the same, you realize there is nothing else talking about.

It is definitely watchable although it doesn't make my recommendation list. Denzel is good, so is the main villain. And there are some spectacular shot scenes.

But the script falls apart after his special skill has finally been revealed. It's spun out of proportion to say the least.

Even if you go in with a forgiving mindset ready to believe anything, it's so drawn out.
