i think most people can gain back most of what they had within just a few months...
depends on length of the break, how much lean tissue lost, bodyfat etc of course.

there are studies on testosterone changing your muscle composition (number of satellite cells etc) forever. so with steroid users muscle memory should work even better..

rule of thumb

weeks off is proportionately equal to the number of weeks you'll need to be on at the same doses to get to where you were when you stopped.

a lay off is different in that you don't totally reverse to a previous untrained state. so it's not going to take you 11 months. that above rule mostly hold true for cycling and not lay off periods.

* glad your back at it bro. nothing beats the feeling.

I was off for along time a few years just because I was sick of the sport and wanted to have more fun wound up partying everyday never felt like working out. I started training pretty consistently like back in the day and even am getting the same obsessed lifestyle,I feel bored and this is it. I constantly just monitor my physique and worry about my next meal. It's been 6 months of hard training but I am still not where I used to be. I still have alot of catching up to do. Not saying it has gone bad i just was on a whole diffrent level back then mainly because I was way younger and used more AAS and didn;t use any hard rec drugs maybe smoked a little weed but none of the painkiller abuse I went through.

It will take sometime but then again I don't know how advanced you were. Just don't give up and stay consistent you do have muscle memory so it should kick in. My cardio still isn't nearly as good and I am not nearly as strong as I once was getting close but that 20 pounds here and there matters. my dumbell shoulder presses are 20 lbs lighter same with chest flys. I have not been able to handle those weights I used to use yet. I would say in about another 6-8 months as long as I stay as clean as I can off rec drugs and use more AAS I should get there. The first 2 months will suck but as long as your hormone levels are OK you will bounce back. Mine got a little fucked up because of the pain meds wich made everything harder then going off pain meeds to a opiate substitue made shit harder so it should be easier then some of us have had it.

I've come off abruptly before. The longest time unfortunately happened to be the one time where I also couldn't train, so I really fell to shit. The contrast was great though. I did train again clean and looked better in the gym. But the big revelation was when I finally took gear again and immediately blew up. Did a quick run of test ace, mast prop and NPP using a ml of each EOD for a couple weeks (basically ran a bottle of each).

After that, everything came back and I was actually a lot leaner than before. Legs still took a bit more of a hit as I've prioritized upper body but training legs twice a week now. Even without the size, the cuts and shape are there. It's remarkable how quickly you gain things back.

11 months isn't very long some guys take that long off just to put on more size and rest. You should bounce back way quicker then I did. You might actually get the best ohysique and conditoning you have ever had . Breaks are nice sometimes. I took a 4 month break once and came back  looking better after 6 months I peaked nicely.

thanks it do feels good.. i had more or less 6 year lay of from training before i started again  (6months before my biceps got hurt and its amazing hoe fast a person can grow. It took my several years of juicing and training to gain what i gained in  5months when i started again

no its not that long but i had only been training like 6months after more or less 6years break....but i was quite big when i was younger, was about to compete two times in bodybuilding but blew my shoulder both times just 5weeks from comp (8weeks the other time)... for me now when i juice (i was poor back in the day and i take almost the double now) i would think it takes 6-7 months to come back to maybe 80% of what i had and the last 20%  4 months more.... btw.good post the other one in this thread to
