I like him better than Crist, but the way he's moved from tea party to RINO spender in 6 months is shocking.  Still, it gave me some state pride to see his bus in town.

Florida Gov. refuses to testify in records lawsuit

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida Gov. Rick Scott is holding firm against testifying in a bitter public records lawsuit.

A Tallahassee attorney asked Scott to appear Friday for a deposition. Steven Andrews wants information about private Google email accounts set up by the governor and two former aides. Andrews says they were used by Scott's administration to sidestep the state's open records law.

Scott campaigned instead in South Florida.

A campaign spokesman for Scott says Andrews cannot require Scott to show up for a deposition.

A Florida judge said Andrews could get the information from Google. But Scott has hired private attorneys in California to fight that request. Those same lawyers also question the request for a deposition.

Andrews is suing over records related to a dispute over land near the governor's mansion.
