Serious Arnold question? Is he back on the good stuff?
« on: November 26, 2014, 04:56:49 PM »
With Arnold back in the gym redeeming himself from those God Awful beach pics a couple years ago whats the odds he is back on the good stuff?

Now with that said we all know Arnold had some Heart issues a few years back. What would happen to the Bodybuilding World / Culture / Etc Etc if Arnold was to kill over dead from a massive heart attack tomorrow? How bad would it rock the sport all of you love? First it was Joe, what if the next Bodybuilding Big Shot to pass was Arnold? How would you all cope?

He wouldn't be doing anything his doctor said he shouldn't do. He's not just a gym rat, this man is filthy rich and has access to the best doctors.

yeah, i'm not worried about his use of test at all.   It's the weight he's carrying that he DIDNT carry for a decade.  Just an extra 15 pounds, that's a major difference for a dude nearing 70 that hasn't carried a 15 pound dumbbells on his back for a decade.

I'd be MUCH happier seeing a skinny arnold laughing on a beach with the kids and/or grandkids, lean and laughing that his muscle days are behind him.   Trying to bulk up and hang out with bodybuilders with a history of serious heart probs?  No way.

I think arnold has the same problem many pro BBers do.... they've been 'the big guy' their whole life.  Being a bodybuilder with big muscles is their identity.  Hearing "What happened to you" and "you lost it all!" over and over and over... it's demoralizing to them.

I understand this but just saying "What if" would there be a huge impact?

But how bad do you think it would hurt the sport though, that's the what I'm looking for. I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it either but I look at the Arnold Weekend and how much revenue that creates not just for him but the industry as a whole. Would his death hurt the industry?

don't think it would hurt competition much maybe the expos where people gather in their masses to catch a glimpse of him, so revenue lost there.

Steve Jobs had even more money and still thought he knew better than his doctors, which is why he is dead.  Never underestimate the power of a man's ego.

It would be a tragedy.

We also wouldn't hear the end of it from the media. They would use such a tragedy as the proverbial scapegoat with which to crucify the industry and label anabolic steroid use as the final nail in the coffin of the best bodybuilder of all time.

I don't think Arnold would jeopardize the last 30 years of his life by dabbling with hormones.

Arnold wouldn't do anything that could jeopardise his goal of living forever .
but seriously I've seen a couple of interviews where he's said he can't cope with the idea he has to die. He wants to be around as long as possible

I hope Arnold lives a long time but say if he died today he is 67. Not exactly one of these dead by 30 guys we always talk about on getbig. I think he is old enough if he were to die it would not directly be attributed to steronz.

"Being a bodybuilder with big muscles is their identity"

absolutely correct.  Nothing is stronger in one's psyche than one's identity.

If something would happen to his heart or liver we would never hear the end of it.

It would all come down on Bodybuilding and steroids! It wouldn't matter if it even had anything to do with it.

Arnold is not stupid
that's why he had that heart valve replaced years back.  He has fixed his shoulder, hip and heart so he doesn't have to deal with it once he gets even older and more frail.

One thing about Arnold he likes to run things and be the middle of attention, that's why  staying healthy will give him a chance doing it for a long time.

Considering his marriage and movie flops, he still is living the life and will be around for many years to enjoy his wealth and fame.

He would never jeopardize his health for somethin he already is known as the best ever.

ROTFL  WTF...thought you were pretty damn smart???

Maybe a miscommunication, I'm sure you admit he's on a generous but carefully monitored course of HRT, with a good amount of beta blockers and all that other good stuff.

also arnolds heart valve problem was something he was born with, the type of congenital valvuer problem he had u dont develop,u either r born with it or u neve get it.so the media can say all they want about steroids but eventually the word will be out to the general public that he was born with a heart valve defect and end all the bullshit gossip

I think when Arnold EVENTUALLY dies (hope its decades from now) that the pro BB industry will die too.
