School trip of peace
« on: December 01, 2014, 01:36:05 PM »
My school teacher friend took her class to a Mosque as part of "religious studies." Anyway this is a class with 18 white kids and 5 black. AGes 8 and 9. They were shown round the mosque by the Iman or whatever who scared the life out of them by telling them very aggressively, all wild eyed, as none of them are Muslim that they, their family and friends will all burn in hell for eternity.
A load of very upset and frightened 8 and 9 year olds probably cant sleep tonight now.

Whats the fucking point, what did this prick think he was achieveing?

That's too bad he had to do that instead of just conducting a tour and keeping it positive. I remember in high school taking a work religions class, we visited a Greek Orthodox Church and a Buddhist temple. The temple was cool, very nice monk.

Good points.
It's not just the British people, it's happening across Europe.
Although there is some standing up for themselves in some
Countries like France,Holland to some extent.
Good for them, I hope we start to follow soon.

In 7th grade, I visited Rikers Island for a class trip (Rikers Island  is New York City's main jail complex, as well as the name of the 413.17-acre (1.672 km2) island on which it sits, in the East River between Queens and the mainland Bronx, adjacent to the runways of LaGuardia Airport. Supposedly named after Abraham Rycken, the island is also home to one of the world's largest correctional institutions).

It was pretty awesome. They let us talk to the prisoners. I spent 7 hours there.  I consider myself a badass now.

Lol when I was in the 5th grade(catholic school), my teacher told me I'd go to hell if I didn't believe the entire bible word for word.

I told this to my priest and ironically he thought it was funny as catholics don't think shit of the first testament.

Parents are idiots for letting them go, the schools are required to have a signed permission slip from the parents.
