Skim milk with a little chocolate powder is just as good as whey protein.  Why buy a 50 to 60 dollar tub of powdered cheese called whey when you can buy cheap, fresh skim milk?  I heard whey was a by product of cheese manufacturing that they use to throw away most of the time until it exploded as a supplement.

Why not use the milk? Not everyone wants all the carbs that comes with it, the water retention and so on.

You need to update you information bud. Bad info given here.

Lactose free fat free milk is what I drink. Available in just about any super market and dirt cheap in Costco.

Any lactose free milk I see has 13g of carbs per 8g of protein. I eat 4000 calories a day, but for some poor sap dieting on 1800 calories, nobody would want say 24g of protein with 39g of carbs just from milk. Still not convenient compared to whey and is only slightly cheaper. I have money hence I like both. Whey is a life saver on trips and to help get my macros in without having to gorge down any more food than I already do

I've only ran one (400mg test/10 weeks+50mg var/4 weeks). Guess I'm a somewhat good responder. I've trained naturally for over 12 years though other than 2 junky prohormone cycles 6-7 years ago. I'm probably +1% body fat right now compared to the pic. It was taken about a month ago a month after PCT wrapped up. Pretty much did a recomp. Only gained  5-7 pounds or so, but knocked of a good amount of fat and have kept it off since.

I'm not concerned with some carbs in lactose free milk. I'm not a bodybuilder. I also don't mega dose on protein. If you're lifting and running 5 miles at a good clip the last thing you need is a low carb diet. I guess if you are juicing to pose in speedos you will mega dose on protein and eat a low carb diet. Still say lactose free skim milk is a great source of protein.
