I'm kinda leaning towards this. I think a certain small percentage are legit transgender but I think a large percentage are mentally ill and or attention whoring generation nothingness members.

You do know that occasionally an infant is born with Ambiguous genitalia or atypical genitalia. This condition occurs approximately once in every 4,500 births. The baby seems to have a mixture of both female and male parts - for example, they may have both a vulva and testicles.  Nature has been producing this condition since forever.  I know you would like the world to be black and white, but it isn't.

Yes I realize this. I'm not trying to be discriminatory or hateful. People both with both of abnormal genitalia I understand their confusion; but it seems like a ton of people with normal genitals seem like it's ok to just choose your gender. These I have less sympathy for. Maybe it's a lack of understanding on my part.
