I remember when some kook was claiming Obama wants Martial law.  I laughed at first but now it seems they are heading that way.  First trying to get rid of armor piercing bullets.  Now it seems daily cops are killing people more than ever.  It's like they want the police to look inept so they can install the military as police.  Something doesn't seem right.

nope, i disagree.

I was a CTer for years and usually still smell bullshit on most 'official' stories.  Having seen the pendulum suddenly swing - repubs who defended every odd event under Bush suddenly call conspiracy every time obama takes a shit (and vice versa), it's just funny now.

I don't think martial law will ever happen here.  Why?  Cause people stop working, buying crap, and paying taxes when that happens.  Things are too good right now lol.   THe minute they "declare", we all stop working, we all stop paying taxes, we all stop buying plastic crap at walmart, and "the govt" stops getting all the awesome profits.

Therefore I think, while they may have things in place in case 30 million illegals cross the border or some big unforeseen natural event happens, and reagan set that up and it makes perfect sense... I do think we are destined to just plug away and work our 55 years then retire for a decade of crapping in diapers watching Wheel of Fortune.  I don't think martial law ever happens.

yes, the public secretly makes calls and texts to each other and willfully works in unison towards the common goal, whilst coordinating simultaneously with government who are doing their part. the cop's role is to keep producing the evidence.

Geez you people are dumb, like the government needs an excuse to introduce martial law.  If the government wants to do something, they just do it, they don't care if they have the peoples approval or not.  Negativity towards the police is a natural response to incompetence, brutality, corruption and injustice that can be directly attributed to their organisation.  It's not rocket science.

thank you, good sir.  I'm sure the TV lies about things all day long, i'm sure we never get the 100% truth on ANY story, people lie without consequence regularly and as long as 50% of the nation backs that party, nobody gives a shit, nothing changes.

But, in all seriousness, living in the USA is awesome.  Sure, cops are gaining power, and sure people are pissed about abuse, but they were firehosing people, lynching people, 50 years back.  It's getting better.  Cops are looking for cell cameras just as much as they're looking for guns/drugs when they arrest people these days.   For every cop getting busted stealing or beating - there are 100 cops that are watching their step closer than ever to avoid being on CNN with cell footage.
