JUST DOING THEIR JOB?

Slamming on brakes to purposely injure a person in custody, then covering it up, even when it killed them - THAT IS THEIR JOB?

Fuck sake, I'm glad it's not 1939 German in this MFer... people would be saying the SS was just doing their job rounding people up.  FUCK.  There is right and wrong - it's NEVER right for police to play ping pong with a human being in custody.  For fucks sake, respect the #T*@&# CONSTITUTION already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Police leaked this info to quiet down the rioters.

They say they won't release the results of their investigation.

BUT they have no problem leaking an outright lie here ;)

Here's the real Q....

without the riots... is the driver (whose malicious actions caused the death of a man in custody) ever charged with a crime?

Seems like this will justify more riots, actually.   Without that riot, the cop gets away with MURDER, can do it again next week.

Please link to proof of the driver causing fatal injuries.

There is a difference between protesting and rioting.  Unfortunately, the rioting is being performed by those that are uneducated, delinquited people taking advantage of a situation. You know this.
