Terrible that the cop had to use force to get his point across after 10 minutes of telling the man to leave the train, or terrible because the man thought he deserved a free ride?

Yes, choke hold is excessive, but not as excessive as a gun shot, taser, or nightstick hit. Pick your poison but force was necessary.

The whole incident wasted alot of other officer's time responding to the supposed theft of $2.25.  Doesn't take too much to see the ridiculousness.

So by your logic I should be able to go into the store and take a couple of Pepsis and walk out . After all its only a couple of bucks. If everyone did that  it would lead to thousands in theft...can u see the ridiculousness

Brew should be pay for the cops time, the trains delay: charged with endangering the child, resisting arrest and theft. The pigs talked to him for 10 minutes trying to get him to leave. But he wanted to "keep it real."

The guy put his child in danger for not leaving when asked nicely over and over . The "only 2.25" and "if it was a  white man"  are typical b.s. arguments made by those who want to make excuses for not obeying the law. I have no sympathy for him

I agree about using the child as a shield.  The officer really f'ed up when he used a chokehold allowing the suspect to make him lose his temper.  The charges will most likely be dropped or reduced.
