I agree. People want the freedom to say whatever they want, without any of the ramifications of living in the real world.

Once again, I think that people are mistaking Getbig for the public square vis a vis "freedom of speech".

Getbig.com is, and always was private property. That means that you are allowed to say what you want, but you are not shielded from the consequences of your words.

There's an old libertarian maxim: "your unlimited right to swing your fists ends precisely at the tip of my nose"

Freedom of speech doesn't end where anybody's feelings begin as this would cancel its sole purpose.

The only censorship I accept is that of the owner of this site - but only because he is pretty generous and intelligent enough to know that the rabbit hole of reality goes very deep.

You can say anything you want if you are alone and no one hears you.

There are no such thing as inalienable/unalienable rights.
Rights are things other people allow you to have, you may think you have the right to do certain things but if other people dont like what you are doing they will stop you.

Rights are a human construct to try and make people feel better about themselves on this shit hole of a planet.

Of course it is, its muscle that upholds your rights as well as takes them away.
