Not really. Google is still Google. The Parent company is Alphabet. Makes sense. Google owns a whole lot of companies. Now the Parent Company can Own Google, and they can split out Android, Nest, Motorola etc... into their own wholly owned subsidiaries. If they want to sell one or the other it's no big deal. Google will still be the behemoth that makes 90% of the money but they won't be tied down to one of the 100 companies that they acquired.
