GOOGLE changed their name to Alphabet and won't use a .com but are using .xyz...Their new domain name is abc.xyz. Stock jumped up over 20%. Google is going to put all their companies under the Alphabet umbrella. All Google stock will change over to Alphabet stock. Bot machines are buying up millions of .xyz domains. All you Getbiggers go buy up some .xyz domains and make some money. They're going to be the new .coms ...Some are predicting that Alphabet may end up like a sort of Berkshire Hathaway holding company. If that is true, Googles stock at almost 700 a share could go through the roof over the next year and beyond...

(They since sold us off to Arris).

Anyways, odd company / culture. Bunch of weirdo's.

Not really.  Google is still Google.  The Parent company is Alphabet.  Makes sense.  Google owns a whole lot of companies.  Now the Parent Company can Own Google, and they can split out Android, Nest, Motorola etc... into their own wholly owned subsidiaries. If they want to sell one or the other it's no big deal.  Google will still be the behemoth that makes 90% of the money but they won't be tied down to one of the 100 companies that they acquired.
