Im finding food in general has lost its taste. Veggies even organic dont taste like they used to

In the U.S they grow strawberries for size not flavor. Not to get too off topic, but i read one would have to eat 50 heads of lettuce to get the same nutrition of just one head of lettuce from 1950 - a top soil issue

In countries where pesticides are non existent, one has to eat a pear, nectarine, or peach over the sink because its so juicy

Maybe its me. Food just doesnt taste like it used to

Good post. The peaches and plums this year are not good at all. And strawberries are no longer strawberries....

Not only Dole but pretty much every company dedicated to buy and export banana production. The official price they have to pay is $ 6.50 for a 43 pounds banana box, but it's pretty common they end up paying even $3.00. The price fluctuates a lot, except for organic bananas. The main cause for this... the supply is too high.

Same with Nestle and bottled water.  Bunch of fucking pieces of shit.  They go in and buy up poor areas water supplies, bottle the water, then sell the water back to the people at 100x the cost.

Just imagine what will happen when marijuana becomes legal in all 50 states. Maybe the commericalization of marijuana production will actually be the ruin of the quality of the product.

Same deal with the chicken.  You can give a Jamaican all the ingredients but the chicken from Jamaica to cook jerked chicken and it won't even taste close to what you get there.
in Kauai they have chickens running loose everywhere.  I had smoked chicken from this place called Chicken in a Barrel.  The best damn fucking chicken I've ever eaten.
the chicken is good but I ate so much the spices gave me the shits so bad I could shit through a screen door, and my asshole was on fire

One thing I hate about these articles, is the author's need to find a round number of 'benefits' from the food they are writing about, i.e. 20 amazing things you can do with a cucumber, when we all know there's only one amazing thing you can do with a cucumber.

In SoCal it turned out that Nestlé's contract ended some time in 1990 and for the last 25 years they've been pumping and bottling water without paying a cent to anyone.  The state is now investigating who was getting paid off to let this slide for so long.
