Yeah, started in Louisiana, and was mainly a Southern and Mid-Atlantic thing, Last decade, they've really expanded. The salt and seasoning will bloat you up something fierce, but it's probably the best fast food chicken you can get.
If you find yourself on the East coast, the order goes something like Popeyes, Bojangles (if you can find one), random Chinese spots (go by the bullet proof glass, the thicker, the better
), and fried chicken places named Kennedy, Crown, or Mama's (these are all usually in the ghetto, but man, can they cook up some chicken).
Very few folks chose KFC as their go to chicken spot.
