DAL Cowboys to trade for RGIII
« on: September 20, 2015, 08:24:39 PM »
Just kidding.   No really, they should though.   Romo is old and broken clavicle.  RG3 has better genes than Phil "The Gift" Heath.
It'd be the NFL story of the year.

but with an O line to protect him, who knows?   I think he could be a success elsewhere.  DAL is a super bowl caliber team.

That ship has sailed.  He doesn't have the brains or a knee with the structural integrity to be that guy.

Could you imagine the homecoming for the Baylor legend RGIII, he'd have an emotional breakdown by the third quarter with all the pressure.

The post game press conference would be on a Terrell Owens level of epic though...

He has the brains. Dude was almost valedictorian of his high school, and graduated with a Master's degree in communications from Baylor University.

Now fragile knees and confidence? I'll agree with that for sure.

It's not a bad idea. You just need him to last until Romo gets back.

Of course, there's always Tebow, right Coach?

I'd rather have Colt McCoy than RG3.

There are plenty of back-up QB's out there that can probably handle the offense better than Weeden; and most could be gotten for cheap (4th - 5th round pick or below). I'd give that up to save the season, especially since the NFC East looks winnable with 9 wins.

Losing Bryant and Romo is a MASSIVE blow but I still wouldn't write off Dallas.

Their defense has looked pretty decent PLUS they will be adding Greg Hardy, Rolando McClain(pro-bowl level players) in 2 weeks and Randy Gregory, a top 10 draft talent who looked really good before getting hurt will be back in about 3 or 4 weeks.

RG3 has a 20 Mil contract including injury.....that goes with him to Dallas. When he gets injured they'll owe Romo/Bryant/Rg3 50 plus mill against the cap...in three players. Great idea 240...

Sean Lee was sick yesterday!!  That dude is a beast!!

With the O-line protection and secondary stepping up I think Wheedon might be able to hold the fort for the next two-ish months.  Plus the Cowboys defense is firing on all cylinders at the moment....not great yet, but certainly not bad either.

Still, I'm no doctor and with Romo's rebreak I don't see a quick 8-week recovery.....feels like his best chance is the post season (provided they can even get there) or mid-December....same thing with Dez.

Yeah, it's looking like that "Sean Lee Weakside Linebacker" experiment is looking pretty good 2 weeks in, huh?

His football smarts is just uncanny. 2 steps ahead of Murray all day yesterday. Racked up a ton of tackles and in vintage Sean Lee form was at the right place at the right time to secure that late game interception. A play making linebacker who forces turnovers. Such a great asset to have for a defense.

I think a case could be made that he has been the teams MVP so far this season.

It's a shame there will be no formidable challenges to the continuing domination of the NE Patriots...

Bwahahahaha!  Communications?  What, Liberal Arts wasn't available?

Even if he was super smart in school(which I doubt) being an NFL QB takes a different kind of smarts.  He don't have it.

It's irrelevant anyway because his knee is fucked beyond measure.

Jets looked pretty impressive on both sides of the ball.

Not saying they're gonna knock off the Pats, for sure, but, they should be competitive.

Making any sort of predictions on the season after 2 weeks is dumb.

DAL is almost as bad as OAK when it comes to making bold/crazy moves.  it'd be a fun story.
