I believe it's a dual-scenario.

Partly because she WANTS to be noticed as a "celebrity (the reason she has chosen a huge behemoth as bodyguard so nobody will miss her due to everyone noticing the behemoth, making people think "Ah. she must be famous"), and partly as a deterrent to would-be attackers of peace who hate the Kardashians.
