Wife just had twins! So life is crazy... No eating, up 90% of the night, stressed out, still working.
Is it pointless to try to work out if there is never a recovery period? Would it just put too much stress on the body and make things worse? Maybe just take 3-6 months off and get back with it then?
Thoughts?
God bless you and the family....that is awesome!!
I've never experienced caring for twins so I'm not about to tell you how to do that!

Although, I am a Dad and I understand exactly what you've said.
My opinion (based upon myself) is that if I'm unable to get sufficient rest and I attempt to continue pushing in the gym that my body becomes so depleted that I get sick.
Given the newborns I would just put them above all else for a bit and back off the gym until they settle into a routine, sleep more a night and you're sleeping more at night.
I'd make sure your diet is solid regardless, take your vitamin/minerals, drink plenty of water and just hang on.....you'll get through. Gym for now can go on backburner status unless you can legitimately make time for it.
We're all a little different so I'm just speaking from my own perspective and how I function on minimal sleep with stress and all that. In a couple months the kiddos will be more stable and you can get more full-time in the gym.
This universal of "you can always find [enter time frame] for the gym" isn't true....we're all different with different circumstances. I find that people that say those things don't have any real experience with parenting, family, working, providing for others....those types of responsibilities.
