Thing is, Assad has Putin's backing and the USA (defo not under Obama or, if she succeeds Hilary) will not go toe to toe.

I don't like Putin, but he is definitey right here. He sees the world as it is - Assad was keeping order same as Mubarak, qaddafi et al were before the "Arab Spring" failure. Obama is a terrible president and living in a fantasy land seeing the world as it should be - yeah, be great if they could have democracy and human rights, but create a power vacuum and look what is happening now.

I don't undertstand the hate for Putin.   Repubs like Rudy and Palin have been admiring his "bold leadership" for years.  He decided alone, in 15 minutes, to start that Georgia shit a while back.  And they praised him for it, since obama went to all the trouble to ask congress for libya authorization lol.


Also, last week, Trump said we should LET Russia take care of syria.  He also said we should LET the ISIS and rebels kill each other.  Obama met with Putin and gave him the green light to wreck ISIS.

The only peoeple bitching about it are on the message boards.  The Dem president and Repub presumptuative nominee AGREED to let Putin do his thing.  Why is anyone mad, if the parties AGREE?
