Also, being in an over hydrated state can make you feel dry(tongue dryness, etc..). It's a catch 22. The body thinks it needs more water, but sometimes it's the opposite. You may be drinking gallons of water, but you may be dehydrating yourself at a cellular level.

I easily drink 5 to 6 liters now but I had to train my body. The big difference I notice when dieting is on the digestive system. Eating tons of protein is hard on the digestive system but upping the water makes a big difference for me personally. Interesting that you can feel dry as I start to feel thirsty ten minutes after I've had some water. This has happened since I upped it over 3 litres.

By all accounts thirst isn't reliably accurate/dependable as the sole indicator of dehydration. People who get tired in the day or have headaches = probably just need more water. Hunger and thirst can both be deceptive. I'm not saying you need 10 gallons a day from a big stupid gallon flask thing, but if you have non-clear piss at any point that's probably your kidneys telling you to fuck off.

I don't see how anyone can construably claim this is more healthy than good solid hydration. Some people with awesome super consistent moods, with no dips in energy or mindset throughout the day may not need to give a shit, but most people have lulls or dips or think they have a headache or feel sluggish or can't concentrate or whatever.  If this sounds like you....Drink some water you lazy fuck! :)

yep.

i'm another person who will barely drink anything by instinct.  every once in a while i notice a drastic, immediate increase in focus right after drinking.  sometimes it makes me more relaxed.

also, i think my body has a sort of 'saturation point'.  i can drink liters of water with no increase in urination frequency, but then i hit this 'point' and then every subsequent glass of water seems to just get pissed right out, minutes if not seconds later.

I feel perfectly fine and clear throughout the day on nothing but food. As long as I don't eat bad food or too much my blood sugar level is linear. My food is never salted and no sauce or anything like that. I live in a cold climate and I rarely run so I just  don't get thirsty. Sometimes at the gym when sweating I get thirsty, then I drink.

I will probably die in my sleep any time now  ;D

Got it covered. Mainly white fish and shrimps for meat on a daily basis. Occasionally salmon or chicken, and rarely red meat.
