Donnie Darko was pretty scary. Would've been even scarier with Tbombz in the bunny suit.

Just saw this -

.

Not bad at all considering it was a made for tv movie. Mellow enough to watch with kids, dark enough to make it enjoyable for adults.

I was in Kindergarten the first time I saw that old classic Disney movie The legend of sleepy hollow (Ichabod crane).   The part where the headless horseman is chasing him through the forest trying to chop off his head.   Every kid in our kindergarten class was traumatized after watching that,  including myself.   When I see that movie now as an adult many decades later, it still wings me out a bit.

HALLOWEEN...is my absolute favorite all time ,,john carpenter did the music, there aren't too many movies that the music created with the character the right blend of suspense and back story.there wasn't too many killings ,the last 1/2 hour is great.the 6 shots at the end and then loomis looks out the window to see him gone with the music is awesome ending,,halloween 2 was good not great still don't know how he survived being burnt to a crisp lol..more killing and a bit cheesy still not as bad 4/5/6 which were late 80's schlock by then.by then the mask and guy doing myers was not the same..

Yes, sir. Halloween is brilliant, JC just got everything right: interesting story, premium on suspense, subtlety over shock, chilling/tense music (as noted), and clever as f**k direction, all on a shoestring budget.

Discussed before, but he was so right using mindless evil as Michael's motivation. Can't really be explained or reasoned with; plus, it adds a hint of supernatural without getting too goofy.

A nightmare on Elm street does it for me, the creepiest theme music, Tina's death and her visit to the school in a body bag etc, just brilliant
