Oldtimer this is for you
« on: October 31, 2015, 04:10:35 PM »
Pretty interesting video. Supposedly this guy is close to 400 pounds. Be awesome to see them go after it for real. You always say big strongman types would crush little UFC fighters. This video doesn't really prove anything, pretty cool though.

I cant make it hot I'm on a kindle if someone could do it for me.

You must have me confused with someone else. I never said that big strongman types would crush little UFC fighters. If anything someone like Frankie Eggar who is 5'6" and fights at 155 would destroy quickly most super heavy weight power lifters in a fight. It would be even quicker with any of the top ten bodybuilders.

If you're not sure, go wrestle with someone way bigger.  Even lard counts when you're trying to get around on someone.

All things being equal bigger and stronger wins. What I'm pointing out is that if your big and strong  from lifting without other attributes  facing a small trained fighter you are going to be in a world of hurt.  The other factors are skill, knowledge, power, speed and conditioning. This is often what's missing with guys that just concentrate on power lifting and think they are fighters.

I use to see it all the time when I trained in jui jitsu over 15 years ago.  A big guy new to jui jitsu would come in and roll on the mat with a guy he out weighed by 70 pounds and the little guy would submit him over and over again.
