Hey,

I just registered here after browsing your forums for some advice.. I figured I would ask myself and see what advice would come up for me personally.

Ill tell you a little about myself first, so you know what im about.

I try to work out as often as possible, usually for about a a hour - a hour and a half. I'm not trying to be a mr olympia or anything serious, but who wouldn'y like to be bigger. Im pretty slim, about 6feet tall and weigh about 170. Im scronny but have tone, just no mass. I've never been on a diet or taken any suppliments, but id like to start getting more serious and eat to gain and take some suppliments to maximize the results.
I work on a oil rig so I don't get that much time to work out, thats the main problem.. the good thing is being at a camp I get any food I want cooked for me. Im out of town for 2 weeks working 12 hours a day then off for 1 week. I don't know if any of you know anything about the rigs but the work involvs a lot of lifting and labor related work, but obviously not as good as lifting and working select muscles. Im trying to get moved to a camp that I drive to isntead of fly out so i can take my dumb bells with me, but untill then all I can do is whatever I can without weights. Untill my week off obviously..

Reading the posts here ive read a lot about multivitimans, whey proten, some oils... im sure you all know what im taking about better than I do. My friend actually got me to buy a bottle of M1T and said take it while im on the rigs it will get me bigger and add strength... but reading the M1T faq below I think I might wait before taking it a month or two.

Could someone help me figure out whats best, which suppliments I should start taking (and what they do) along with a good diet and work out routine. Generally ive been doing 8 reps of 6 on each area with as much weight as I can handel as I don't know much about this stuff.
Also any advice on the M1T would help, should I start taking it, if so with what and if not when should I wait before taking it.

Thanks in advance,
X

you seem to got your goals set so now you need to play around with some routines and see which work teh best for you also as you already know you have to eat! you will gain! but i was actually thinking about gettin on a rig here next year. Not too sure yet but i'd like to make that money.

Since your rep sets are low with heavy weight (which is an excellent fomula for building mass), I'd recommend you check out the following web site:

http://www.ast-ss.com/max-ot/max-ot_intro.asp

Type in your email address and create a password for access to the workout programs (don't worry about giving out your email to this site - I've never gotten any mail from them).

I personally think this is one of the best educational sites out there for not only building mass, but teaching you the excersizes and lifts you should be centering your workout around.  They really emphasize squats, deads, rows, barbells and dumbells using natural movements instead of strapping yourself into some cable machine and isolating one muscle.

They also emphasize the "rest portion" of a lifting cycle and not burning  yourself out - I personally have benefitted a lot from taking one week off every eight weeks.  I hate the week off, I worry I'm loosing ground on that week, but the next week I'm soaring ahead in all areas and realize it was the best thing for me.

I would definately reccomend you waiting a couple of months before taking the M1T, and then when you do, take it in very low doses - you can always increase if you aren't experiencing any sides.  I'd recommend a 5 mg tablet once a day for the first week or two, then up it to two 5 mg tablets 12 hours apart each day if you are feeling OK, and definately not going more than a 4 week cycle.  A few years ago when prohormones were legal I got advice from this site (shout out to GIJoe!) recommending I take a cycle of much "softer" prohormones (such as 1test and 4ad), go off a month, then use M1T for a second cycle.  I was very glad I took the advice, as my sides were very minimal or non-existant.

As far as supplements go, don't get sucked into the financial vortex of that world too deeply - 90% of it is hype with very little benefit for your money.  Stick with a good multi-vitamin and protein powder to SUPPLEMENT your protein intake (most of your protein should come from eating chicken, tuna, salmon, cottage cheese, and other good clean foods).  Creatine, Glutamine and EFA's (flax seed oil, fish oils, etc.) are the only other supplements I take, and I've seen good results from keeping those basic elements constant.

Hope this helps!

Hey,
Thanks a lot, I actually just posted in the M1T FAQ forum asking for some advice... I was pretty sure my mind was already made up to wait before taking the M1T from reading that 13 or so pages of posts.. I just wan't too sure, my friend is taking it (without anything else, just the pills) and hes not workig out much as hes at the rigs too and he said he has gained 6 pounds in maybe 3-4days since he started. Still I think I will wait.

When you took the M1T did you take it as directed in the M1T FAQ thread, or without all those suppliments?

The only suppliment ive used is a big tub of cell tech creatine which didnt seem to do too much for me so I didn't buy it again.
Anyways, thanks again for the advice and the site.. im sure it will help.

I knew a guy in similar situation to urs excepts sometimes he'd be ofshore 2 weeks then home for 2 weeks.
When his schedule was same as urs he'd wok out like 6 days a week on week at home, doing crazy like arnold split, then wen he was away he'd b working doing manual stuff and apart from that he'd eat loads and do wee bodyweight circuit three times a week (not to intense), like pushups (normal, wide close) bodyweight squattin, pullups etc.

Worked for him. He really went at it on his week back then combination of rest form intense split, with loads food and bodyweight exercises helped him grow alot. He dint have much choice so he tried it and made it work.

When you took the M1T did you take it as directed in the M1T FAQ thread, or without all those suppliments?

I took Dermabolic's "4 Derm" which is a topical spray of 4AD for two weeks before the M1T, then took it along with the M1T for 2 weeks, then went into a four week of Tamoxifen for post cycle.  I also took Hawthorne Berry during the two weeks I took the M1T, as it helps counter the slight increase in blood pressure the M1T can cause.

The only reason I took the 4AD spray was to help counter side effects, and slightly boost the overall effect.  You'll get results with taking M1T only, however, I'd suggest the Hawthorne Berry pills with it to help with blood pressure (very cheap - can get at any health store, such as GNC or Vitamin World).  Two big issues:  1) make sure you don't take the M1T until you have Tamoxifen IN HAND - I could definately "feel" my body shutting down testosterone production - even noticed slight shrinking of "the boys" - so the Tamoxifen is really not an option if you want to get your natural hormones back on track (and yes, the boys did rebound just fine), and 2) definately "listen" to your body and shut down or stop taking the M1T if side effects get to the point of being painful - every one is different and there is no telling how the stuff will effect you.

When I got the MT1 they said to take it like:

1st week 1 pill a day
2nd week 2 a day
3rd week off
4th week 1 a day
5th week 2 a day
6th week off
8-12 week I was soposto take something you can buy from a health store like GNC and I forget what it was... it was to help you keep the size.

Is that the right way to take it, and whats the best to take after to keep the size?
What price tag am I looking at for all the stuf to take during and after?

Thanks again for your help, im getting lots of information from here which is helping more than just me.
