World Gym in San Diego
« on: November 22, 2015, 10:19:33 PM »
I was in San Diego this past weekend and trained at this gym and was very impressed with the equipment.

Had such wide variety and well maintained old school equipment. If anybody lives there or is in San Diego for a stay you should train there.

Isn't this the gym at which Nasser used  to train? If so, I was a bit surprised that there were no pictures of him in there.

I remember seeing Nasser there a lot and Titus a couple times. I was amazed at how little Nasser lifted but how fucking big he was.

Rick, John n another kid opened a small golds. Was it in Escondido?  Then I can remember....Rick partnered w someone at the gym you're talking about. But man that was like 30 years ago.

Come to think of it. That lil golds was in San Marcos

Rick is still the owner. Originally it was a Gold's Gym. I've lived in Pacific Beach for 20 years, and live minutes away from the gym. Used to see Nasser in there all of the time... Dude was a giant, seeing him in person I couldn't believe how big he was

Do they allow large brown paper bags in the bathrooms at that gym?

Trained there from 2001-2009.  Best gym in San Diego, and probably So Cal.  Saw Nasser there a few times, but he was small by then.   It's crowded as hell from 5-7pm... almost impossible to find a parking spot.  The traffic intersection at Garnet and Mission is ridiculous.  Lots of hot chicks train there.

I think the only gym that rivals it is Gold's Gym in Venice where I train, although I may give the World's a slight nod because they have kept and maintained their old school equipment which is almost always better than the new stuff.

The whole area is a giant cluster fuck. The hottest chicks trained at the powerhouse gym near tony Roma's on mission Blvd.

yes. I used it on Saturday if I understand the machine you are talking about- the one with the upper and lower body moving in a crunch manner- looks like a torture machine  ;D
