I dont know if it was a shocking upset. Tough one to call heading into fight night. QUILLIN may have been a slight favorite. Jacobs has excellent power though.....

I thought it was a bad stoppage by the ref. He should have issued a standing 8 count. Funny Quillin did not protest the stoppage. Either way both Quillin and Jacobs are class acts and good sports.

Not sure it was a shocking upset either.  I agree that Quillen was the favorite, but this was pretty equal coming in.  nice performance by Jacobs though, he came out ready to win.  I felt it was an early stoppage, but after seeing Quillens eyes, he was out on his feet.  Peter didn't protest the stoppage at all, and he is really going to have to question whether or not he would like to continue with his career after his comments in the post-fight interview.  Both get slaughtered by GGG anyway.

No standing 8 was in the rules for that fight. As Pete mentioned, there was an angle where you got to see Quillin's eyes really good and he was out on his feet, a standing 8 count probably would've saved him, but the ref had no choice.
