I just saw online that Putin was quoted saying complimentary things about Trump. Will this help or hurt him?

Putin would much rather deal with Trump, than Jeb.  The Bushes had decent success driving the ruskies into the dirt.  Trump is an amateur who doesn't even understand what the Nuclear triad is.  Putin would love to be 'negotiating' with Trump.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump seems to have a new fan in his corner –- Vladimir Putin -- an the real estate mogul thinks it was a "great honor" to get compliments from the Russian leader ...

Trump tells ABC News in a statement that “it is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond.”

"I have always felt that Russia and the United States should be able to work well with each other towards defeating terrorism and restoring world peace, not to mention trade and all of the other benefits derived from mutual respect,” Trump’s statement continued.

\Vladimir Putin said Turkey tried to lick America's private parts by downing the Russian jet which flew into its airspace.

The Russian president has stoked tensions between the two nations following the incident, which has caused a diplomatic crisis between the two neighbours.

In a speech Putin said Turkey had acted contrary to its own interests by downing a Russian war plane, adding that he sees no possibility of overcoming the diplomatic strain under the current Turkish leadership.

Speaking with emphasis and gesturing energetically throughout a marathon news conference that lasted more than three hours and was televised live, the Russian president said Turkey tried to "lick the Americans in some of their private parts" by downing the plane.
