many born on third base go through life believing they hit a triple.

Trump maximized his birth situation.

Many bend their silver spoon to cook meth or heroin on it.

This coming from a guy who's username is silverspoon.

You are projecting your own ineptitude, laziness and "let the state take care of me" mentality on to Trump.

Did you know if he would have just left his inheritance alone, he would have made WAY more money by doing nothing.

Trump's interview skills seemingly get better and better each passing month.

13 minutes of pure ownage and 90+ percent of the youtube comments are in agreement.

Yes, game the system, keep your stake small, and don't actually employ anyone and have each firm go bankrupt.  ::)

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2015/07/22/a-secret-to-donald-trumps-success-that-you-simply-cant-replicate/

Sometimes, that meant getting taxpayers to chip in. Trump has bragged about his ability to manipulate public officials into granting him tax abatements and other subsidies.

Early in his career, he was buying lots across the country and improving them on 40-year mortgages from the federal government at 5.5 percent interest. Those terms meant "we didn't have to put up much cash," he told Bender.

On other occasions, he's received favorable loans from private investors.

Not even Trump Tower was built with Trump's money. Chase Manhattan provided him with $24 million in financing to buy the leases, along with a $150 million construction loan.

"He can, thus, add another star to the honor badge of the venture capitalist: for putting up practically none of his own money for an increasingly valuable equity interest in one of New York's most valuable pieces of real estate," Bender wrote.

That deal went well, but later, Trump would run into trouble, starting with the failure of the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan and three casinos in Atlantic City.

As he's often emphasized, Trump himself did not go broke. The firms managing these and other properties these did, and Trump's personal stake in these companies was small enough that he remained solvent.

He is not the greatest businessman ever, but you clearly do not understand leverage. If you get a 1 million dollar loan, and invest 200k, sell property or whatever asset is for, say, 1.4 million, you have effectively doubled your investment with little risk, minus interest on loan. Now multiply those numbers by 1000 and you see how highly leveraged businesses like property work.

Hypocrisy.  Examine how he made his money, than examine his rhetorical record (which is all he has to offer in terms of governing)

Also, Trumps dealings have zero significant relation to 99.9999999 percent of American citizens yet over half think they are or are going to be the next Donald Trump.

I love the "Temporarily embarrassed millionaires" statement from people. It highlights how their views on the government's role in cour lives stems from a condescending and paternal view towards others.

That is a complete strawman and an outright lie.

"Think they are going to be the next Donald Trump"

Who are all these people that "believe they are going to be the next Donald Trump?"

What a stupid statement.

Temporarily embarrassed millionaires.

Yeah we've all heard it a 100 times TA. It's a played out line from the 1930s.

It's not clever.

It's not "witty".

What did Obama do in his past 7 year besides widen the gap between the rich and the poor?

Obama is the ULTIMATE "rich guy president"

The rich are RICHER under Obama and the poor are POORER.

You don't have an answer because he made the gap WORSE.

But who is going to narrow that gap?  Sanders and Trump are the only two I can imagine trying to do that (and not even sure about Trump, because he won't commit to specifics).  The rest will only make it worse.  That's the especially infuriating thing about Hillary, because she tries to pretend that she gives a shit about the middle-class when her actions say otherwise.

Is narrowing that gap the govt's role?

A few million. LOLOLOLOOLL

Looks like most of you have no clue about Trump or anything about his history or his father.  A few million. Thats just hilarious. Trump's father turned over control of the family real estate business to him in 1974. At the time, it was worth about $200 million.
doesnt mean 200 million cash in pocket  ::) assets like this would be a nightmare 2 maintain 4 most id say he is a great manager and will not lose any battle

trump loves to work and make shit happen ,his attitude is perfect , his track record is just fine

trump takes no shit how do you faggets here hate him still, oh i know that swagger and smiling that obama does is more attractive to the masses here, i still to thi s day cringe how gay that photo is of adonis wearing an obama fagget shirt

calling trump stupid without a shred of evidence for it im not suprised by the faggets who constantly say this ,why? because many of you dont work and if u do work u have a real dick headed type of white collar job where u dont actually do much work at all andor get paid by the city for doing nothing ,trump is as sensible as a human can posibly be

i presume you mean "homo"?

and "surprised"?

and "possibly"?

If you do, then I'm not surprised at all that you like Trump and think he has a lot to offer. He appeals to the absolute morons of society.

Put Trump in the White House and see how the US goes.

many born on third base go through life believing they hit a triple.
Trump maximized his birth situation.

If trump had put his inheritance into the S&P top 500 mutual funds, and done nothing but finger paint for 30 years... it'd be worth 8.9 billion today.   Just not touching it.

What is trump worth?  Forbes has him at 2.9$ Billion.   He claimed 8 billion, then ten billion a few weeks later.  Forbes is pretty good at these things.

Either way, at BEST, trump claims to have done what the SP average is.  Toss in 4 bankruptcies and the fact he may be worth 1/3 of what he should be worth...

I'm not sure he's more than a hype machine that isn't all that good with making deals.  He turned 8.9 billion into 2.9 billion by spending 30 years making deals?  Ugh.  And his plan to fix the economy by borrowing another 10 trillion bucks to create 5 million jobs?  I don't liek it - Bernie sanders only wants to borrow 15 tril, and he's the biggest socialist ever, right?
