He could have forced Republicans to compromise with Dems on certain key issues (especially those those benefit actual human beings rather than Corporations).

Republican would have fallen in line and then he could have gotten Dems to compromise on things he wanted.

You know, be an actual deal maker like he always claimed to be

I actually assumed he was going to do that but he never did

Also, he should have actually gotten involved in negotiations on all issues DURING the process rather than just throwing a hand grenade into it at the end

All it would have required is for him to think about others once an awhile rather than always and only thinking about himself

my heartburn with this bill is the lack of targeting so the bulk of the money goes to people who haven't been impacted. I don't qualify for it because I make too much, but there are people in my income bracket that aren't making what they made the year before due to Covid and they are struggling. They don't get a dime. I have friends that get the full amount but haven't lost a dime due to Covid. No rhyme or reason to the payments.
