Acknowledgment & Appreciation of Rod Serling
« on: January 02, 2016, 08:57:11 AM »
This is a late 1950's interview. I think that it was exceptional.

That was quite good.  Serling would vomit over what passes for television these days.  And I doubt either gentleman would be allowed to smoke evil cigarettes on such a venue today.

Very enjoyable interview to watch. Serling was a total genius. I have been watching a lot of the marathon since it started a few days ago. My favorite is the slot machine that an old guy is chased after by in Vegas.

Hard to say bud,but I`m partial to "Eye Of The Beholder",and the one where Martin Milner is in the bus station where he ends up chasing his double.

The old lady who gets calls from her dead husband as a telephione pole fell on his grave, and the id who tals to his dead grandma` on a toy phone.

"Talking Tina" kicks ass too.....as well as Shatner and the gremlin on the airplane wing.

Lots more that I love, but those come top mind at the moment.

I had to look up the title but its the one where an astronaut crashes on a small planet and meets another humanoid named Norda Eve.  His name?  Adam.

"Probe 7, Over and Out" is the title.  There are so many more great episodes (like "Mr. Dingle, the Strong") but this one made me think about the world as it is and may have been.

I loved the twilight zone with the confederate soldiers and the witch man who gives his evil spell book to a guy ina town, giving him potential power to win civil war......

but they realize it will cost renouncing jesus and ultimatly thier souls, so they dont

some godo basic plot ideas

hollywood seems to not be able to come up with stories now

Spritz, i don`t have that channel, but I loved Night Gallery as a kid.

I`ll have to pick up some on DVD.

I have all of the 1960`s "Outer Limits","Alfred Hitchcock Presents"."The Alfred Hitchcock Hour",As well as an old show called "The Sixth Sense","One Step Beyond",and "The Thriller" with Boris Karloff as the host.

They used to put out some great stuff on regular TV............long before cable or sattelite.

I live in the past as far as music goes also.  :D
