HCG mixing and administration question
« on: March 15, 2006, 02:06:17 AM »
I have a couple of vials of 5000 (mg/mcg/units-whatever they are !) HCG powder which naturally came with a couple of vials of sterile water for mixing.

I'm 10 days away from my first shot as part of PCT - i.e. it's 5 days since my last sust shot.

Question - the water vials are only 1ml... that means to get my shot of 1000 (units) HCG I'll be trying to inject just 0.2ml of liquid ! Thats a tiny amount of liquid !

Am I barking up the wrong tree here ? Is there some other sterile liquid I should be buying to make accurate dose administration easier  ???

No--you are indeed correct.  I use a 1cc slin syringe and I inject 0.1cc subQ using a 30g needle to get my 500iu dosage. For a 1000iu shot, you would inject 0.2cc.

I like the small needle because it doesn't retain much within its hub.  If you use a standard 25g, 1 1/2 inch needle quite a bit stays within the needle itself, giving you less.  You can obviously avoid this in 1 of 2 ways.  Mix it in a larger amount of bacteriostatic water so you give yourself more total volume per shot, or buy your hcg  vials in the 1500iu range.
