Mexican Bolthole

Does anyone have an opinion as to whether it's feasible to get a Mexican bolthole if living in California?

For quick trips to get out of the US for about 2 months a year in total.

Training related, as there'd need to be a reasonable gym, but not one where I'd think I was going to get kidnapped (because I am a Eurofag homo).

Somewhere easy to get to from LA so that I can get out of the country a bit to top up my non-resident tax status.

I don't mind paying US tax on US income, but no fcuking way would I let the American Government into my finances. Once they're in they've don't want to let go.

There are places there that are very nice. I think a member here had spoken about a few places where expats live.

Nice place to visit. Wouldn't want to live there. What would you do when a bunch of corrupt cops show up at your door demanding $50,000 in cash to provide security for your home so your GF doesn't get kidnapped? Run to the cops? Call Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio? No thanks.
