I actually remembered it from a screenshot posted somewhere years ago. 
Was that black dude next to you a friend of yours ? I remember when I watched it for the first time 30+ years ago I noticed how big his arms were which is difficult when wearing a tracksuit top. Looks like he was a bit of a monster. Bigger than Joey who was being cheered on by his overexcited girlfriend.

Yeah he was my training partner...a kid a grew up with.


225 pound cheat curls,485 squat,80 pound flyes,etc. etc.  and he was just 17-18 years old .....had 30 inch quads.


Talked to him on the phone just yesterday.....he`s a fatso now though.

He looked like a young Bertil Fox sitting there. The wonders of the internet. Who'da thunk one day in the future I'd be communicating with the guy next to the big guy in the audience.

Heard about it for years. It's on Netflix I just watched it. Good stuff. Can not believe we got away from those type of physiques. Quadriceps nowadays look stupid. They aren't streamlined at all. Big quads look goofy. Fuck the "teardrop". You can tell Lou is an asshole even as a youngin. The camaraderie back then is how it should be now.

Would recommend.

Sort of surprised they haven't done a hi-def transfer from the original negatives for a release on blu-ray.  At this point, the film could be considered culturally significant.

This would look fantastic with a nice 4k restoration.

Dude,I honestly believe that he would have been a great IFBB pro..............never saw anyone train as hard as he did and I mean anyone.


He even had awesome calves reminiscant of Dickerson.
