Marvel may have been ahead of dc in some things, but not the avengers, since they were formed in response to the justice league. And no one really gave a shit about them anyway until the marvel movies started. Otherwise, it was always about the X-Men.

Speaking of Avengers.  Looks like Captain marvel is joining but not sure of Spiderman in the new 2 part movie.  Looks awful and Thanos looks like Grimace.
