Wilder, Fury, Browne and Charles Martin all HW champs. Worst period in HW boxing history.

I don't agree, there will be some great match ups down the line... The big Cuban, Joshua and haye in the mix too, its a great period

That's if they fight each other.
Or as is the norm nowadays they will call each other out
And then avoid each other like the plague.
While fighting lowly ranked / tin can opponents.

It won't go down as one of the necessarily greatest eras, but if they start fighting one another, It will be an interesting era for sure.  Once Klitschko is gone for good we'll have:
Fury
Wilder
Joshua
Parker
Martin
Lucas Brown
Hughie Fury (Tysons younger cousin who is undefeated)
King Kong Ortiz
Bryant Jennings
Povetkin
Kubrat Pulev (only loss to Wlad)
David Haye
Andy Ruiz
Carlos Takam
Spzilka (who was giving a good account of himself before Wilder turned out his lights)

and last but not least if he can win a tune up bout or two Mr. President Ike Ibeabuchi!

HBO and Showtime could split up into two groups of 8 and have winners fight winners and losers fight losers culminating with the last two men standing headlining a worthwhile heavyweight PPV card.

I can dream can't I?

Martin v Joshua in April, I think the ball is already rolling.... I think they all genuinely want to fight each other, there's no clear stand out amongst them yet

People had better not sleep on Charles Martin.  He's big, strong and throws hard punches.  This is not the gimme for Joshua that people would have you believe.

Does he prefer simple sugars or oatmeal PWO?

This is the worst era ever in Heavy weight history. I can't believe there isn't an athlete out there that can't dominate this current batch of chumps.

Ibeabuchi is still around?  I thought he was sentenced to a crazy amount of time in the can.  In any case, he was really good in his prime (15-20 years ago), but if he's still considered a top HW the division must be horribly weak.

Ibeabuchi was recently released and is supposedly making a comeback. He's a crazy POS and missed too much time to be relevant. I actually like Joseph Parker and think he could very well be the best of the bunch along with Luis Ortiz and Anthony Joshua.

There are plenty of them, but they're all playing in the NFL

I agree completely. Imagine if NFL lineman were as dedicated to Olympic lifting from their youth instead of football how the US would dominate Olympic lifting again.

Absolutely, but I'm glad they decided to stick to the NFL....far more exciting to watch  ;D

It would be nice to have more talented boxers, especially in the upper weight classes.  It seems like the most talent is concentrated in welterweight-type fighters...aka the athletes who were too small to play football or basketball

Hopefully one of these days we'll get another dynamic boxer in the upper weight classes, a la Roy Jones Jr or Tyson

Ah.... I keep forgetting all the boxers are shit if there not from USA, thanx for reminding, and you would dominate every single sport if they weren't all playing NFL or basketball  ::)

If that's the case, how come the US fail to dominate the lower weight classes of Olympic lifting?

And why did America produce great HW boxers in the past, despite the NFL and NBA still being around back then too?
