IMG Models has announced the launch of its new "Brawn" division, and has signed Zach Miko – the first male model of his size to be featured on Target's website – as its first model in this new venture.
"Brawn has a body positive message. Brawn is physical strength," Ivan Bart, president at IMG Models, told WWD. "The body positive messaging and size diversity is something that's relevant and something that continues to be on everybody's mind. We have to extend the conversation for men."
Bart signed Miko to help more men feel that they are reflected in what they see in fashion campaigns and magazines.
"I want every man in America to say, 'I can do that,' when they see Zach," said Bart.
He hopes the new Brawn division will encourage fashion brands to cater to men of more sizes.
"Everyone wants to wear great clothes and everyone wants to look fashionable," said Bart. "We have to start asking for more options."
Miko told PEOPLE in October that he hopes the male body positivity movement will catch up to the major strides that have occurred for women.
