Victor Biaka-Boda was a lawyer, a medicine man, and a representative of Côte d'Ivoire in the French Senate, as well as the only politician in history who was eaten by his own voters.
In January 1950, the next election was approaching and he returned to his homeland in order to launch the campaign. Somewhere along the road from one settlement to another the car broke down, and while the driver was repairing the car, Victor walked in the jungle, and was never seen alive again.
28 members of the neighboring village found his belongings and charred bones, and two years later the official investigation came to the conclusion that the poor man was eaten by cannibals from the local electorate.
