Yup...knocked ol shitbag off the headlines with this minor JV attack. Nobody gives a shit about Cuba...and Obongo cozying up to a murderous regime. Actually might be good for him...or not, ISIS being a minor JV team and all.

'Obama addresses the latest mass terror attack, from Cuba'

this one line sums up so much of what is wrong with this presidency.

I've actually been in and out of that airport a few times.  Not a bad place, but not as bad as some in the US either.

Obama attends baseball game in immediate aftermath of attacks, insists its ok because terrorists want to "disrupt" ordinary lives:

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2016/03/22/they-cannot-defeat-america-obama-defends-attending-baseball-game-in-cuba-despite-terror-attacks/

I try to be fair, but some of these decisions are almost impossible to justify.

Why does the location matter? Would it make a difference if he was in Australia, or Japan, or Saudi Arabia, or Germany or Israel?

This paranoia about Cuba needs to end. We aren't talking about the Soviet Union. We're talking about an impoverished island nation, devastated by decades of bad policies by the Castros.

Yeah and we should do everything we can to highlight that, highlight capitalism and what it would do for these people and not prop up or have a dialogue with a government that has committed genocide against its own people and has conducted combat operations around the world against our allies and our own troops. Obama could do everything he's done up until actually going there...send crazy joe but don't allow Raul to use u like some kinda weird puppet.

Eh, I'm fine with talking with Cuba. I don't think we can solve problems by not talking about them. With that said, I don't think Obama's trip was a disaster; it just didn't really advanced our interests or the interests of the Cuban people. You're right that sending Biden would have probably been a better idea, although there's powerful symbolism to having the President himself go.

But I think the approach we are taking is fundamentally wrong and backwards. Trying to solve the political issue first - bringing democracy to Cuba - is putting the cart before the horse.

We should lift the travel and investment restrictions that the government (unconstitutionally, in my opinion) imposes on Americans and American companies and allow money to flow into Cuba. Once that's happening and the Cuban people see that there is a future that isn't bleak, things will change. The political issue will be sorted by itself in its own good time.

"Obama kept his regular schedule"

True, but should the US president break his schedule everytime 30 people are killed in the world?  Cause there are much bigger atrocities happening all of the time - and if the prez starts doing so, then the terrorists really do win.

The bad guys win more if the US president changes due to their actions - and really, it's not like obama would be any more effective sitting in a room somewhere... the people on the ground investigating do their job, and that's it.

now, I don't think obama should have been at a baseball game to begin with - you play hardball with these pricks....baseball games come AFTER they bend to our wishes....  but that's a different thread.

yea, hanging out with the Castros, watching baseball games doing the wave, and posing for a pic in front of the Che Guevara statue is just typical stuff for an American president. especially in the immediate aftermath of yet another Islamic terror attack (which he still refuses to even name)

but im sure that once Obama leaves, the Castros will open up cuba to democracy and let all the political prisoners free and we will all join hands and sing cumbaya ::)
