Maybe they arent letting him win bc of how open he is about his drug use?  ??? ??? ???

Perhaps. But he is known worldwide

Although out of proportion he's done a good job with spot enhancements in his arms

His biceps look weird as hell, no way. Genetically he has good tris so they seem to have held up, but those bis look like oil balloons. just not a normal shape.

Without a doubt.

Thinking "the best physique" always wins at a bodybuilding show is outrageous. You might as well believe the competitors are natural and write their own FLEX articles.

Doesn't matter. He's still too out there with his drug use.

Case in point: Branch Warren.

The judges arent stupid. Placing him dead last in a lineup where he is clearly 2nd place is not a good political move. They would receive too much backlash. So, they give him 2nd place to keep people happy, but don't let him win the overall either.

Exactly.

They need to maintain some credibility.

Don't you need to win the overall to get an IFBB pro card?

Yup.

Placing him dead last is too obvious.

He won his class so he is qualified to compete in a national show but each national show is different. Some are top two in class and others require you win your class.

Thats why there are so many pros now.  They give bikini and mens bikini cards out like candy.  It used to be you had to win the overall but now its all about money. :-\

Bearing in mind the NPC stance on drugs then they could place him dead last as an example to others because hes admitting to taking illegal substances.

Its the same nonsense thats spouted about Kai not winning the Olympia because of his past, sure he can place second and be multiple Arnold winner, but just not first at the Olympia.

Its bollocks.

Well, winning the MR. O is a way different achievement than winning the Arnold, even if you win the Arnold multiple times. So, it makes sense that they would let him win the Arnold, but not the Mr. O. Most guest appearances on national television are for Mr. O winners, not Arnold Classic winners.

Though, Kai has done some work with the NFL.

I surmise that he will eventually get a pro card.

Place him last?

THE IFBB has real drug testing guidelines in their rulebook. I would imagine the NPC does too.

If these clowns wanted to play hardball they could test him and DQ him ala Shawn Ray.

I'm not sure what it will take for bodybuilders as a "profession" to wake up, but drug testing might be it. The bigwigs don't want that, because they know that their business is built and run on the backs of drug abusers through-and-through.

the whole system is a mess ,too many cards/weight classes/divisions period...

usa's bbing wise open class you used to have win overall to turn pro that was tough'but usually super or the heavy weight one so it was fine transition to pro's size wise.later on they tweaked it and gave overall plus the 2nd place say a light heavy would go pro to 'that's ok too.times change.

nationals was every class like'today'and they gave an overall same as today as well, but nowadays with 212 a welter/middle/lighheavy can grow into a class, back in the day those lower weight classes had nowhere to go but quit competing..for todays bber that's fine and all but back then a lot of great builds could never go foward that was a shame..

all the other stuff today is overcrowded classes, pushing supp's and advertising to no end ..

Maybe he has a genetic defect that compels him to inject the exact amount of 3cc's all over his body.
