Sounds like she shouldn't have tried using a knife to attack someone with a gun. Unfortunately (fortunately more likely) she won't be around to attempt that next time. There are consequences to actions.

The officers job is to protect people from herself and the rest of the public . Not kill her because he is scared for his life. And then revert to the standard "its just another job" argument. NO idiot.. you are elevated by society because you are supposed to consciously put yourself in harms way to help protect the public like you have sworn to do.
Can you imagine if firefighters had the same attitude like the cops had and stayed away from fighting dangerous fires and running into burning buildings because " they feared for their lives" and "its just another job" so you have to stay out of harms way... just imagine that for a second because that what I am hearing from these cops almost everytime somebody gets kllled.
These knuckleheaded , nervy, hair-triggered, badly trained, pussies , masquerading as cops are making life much harder for the good cops out there. The police high command should come down heavily on these never-do-wells.
Law enforcement is not just another job. And it definitely isn't a job that should be available to the average citizen... If the top brass dont start making severe examples of these bad cops, things are gonna get a lot worse. .. and thats just sad as everybody will suffer as a result.
