Russia's trade with the U.S. is small. It does four times more business with Germany (where there has already been large pro-Snowden rallies). It has the fourth highest foreign currency reserves in the world — $525 billion.
And on the Middle East, particularly over Syria, the two countries are already in open opposition.
Not to mention minimal national debt which of most is domestic.
Putin and people in his cabinet have been very smart people.
That's why USA so bad wants Putin to step down.... even though there're practically no liberal candidates for office in Russia. Just nationalists and communists plus of course Zhirinovsky. They all would make Putin look like school boy but USA bets on that they are not as smart as Putin.
